Introduction

The dimensions of consciousness are a fractal hologram, spanning from the electrodynamic substrate of consciousness itself. Each dimension we experience (body, psyche, cosmos) is a fractal of the one core, infinitesimal essence that encodes the entirety of an organism by definition.

I first came into this theory of the Dimensions of Consciousness while studying applied physics at the University of British Columbia. During my studies, I would frequent a local metaphysical bookshop, and upon one visit came across a book by Barbara Hand Clow, "Alchemy of Nine Dimensions". This book defines the structure of reality as nine concentric dimensions of consciousness, plus a tenth dimension axially connecting them all, which enables individual travel through them, with training. Her book uses Earth as the primary example, with the first dimension being the core of the Earth, the second being the telluric realm (beneath its crust), the third being on Earth's surface, and the fourth the celestial. In this framework, the fifth through ninth dimensions exist beyond the realm of everyday human perception, located at radial distances beyond our solar system and governed by consciousness in other galaxies.

Although Hand Clow's framework focuses on Earth as the conscious entity, it is not dismissed that this structure applies to all organic beings, a framework that insistently made itself evident during my studies of fascia, depth psychology, and traditional astrology — all through the lens of applied physics with a metaphysical ontology.

In my work, I focus on the first four dimensions:

1. Essence, the infinitesimal point which encodes all of an organic being's consciousness.
2. The Body: the materia beneath the surface of the skin — specifically the electrodynamic channels flowing through fascial tissue.
3. The Psyche: everything between the surface of the skin and the reflection of the stars — specifically projections, which weave a web of things in the psychic field that hold a particular charge awaiting integration.
4. The Cosmos: the liminal upper bound on the human experience here on planet Earth — in particular astrology, functioning as an electrodynamic circuit which delineates the patterns by which consciousness itself actually flows through each individual and creation.

I work only on these layers because these are the layers directly accessible to the human experience. With the goal of individual evolution and societal progression, the most efficient order of operations are those within immediate access and reach.

The interpretation of these dimensions as electrodynamic media is, to my knowledge so far, original. The exact metaphysics of this concentric structure of individual consciousness is the study of my work, as are its applications in service of the individual organic experience. You are an onion. Let's go through the layers.

first dimension

The first Dimension of Consciousness is the infinitesimal core of the Self. It defines the individual's point in time and space and encodes absolutely all of their potential. Because the first Dimension is infinitesimal, and because it encodes all potential, the first Dimension is also intrinsically neutral. Consider the first dimension as the battery which holds the voltage through which the rest of consciousness flows. It is a source of ideal voltage, a battery with infinite potential and zero resistance.

second dimension

The second dimension of consciousness is the body. Beneath the surface of the skin of each organic being is an entire universe living according to its own rhythm, with the purpose of serving the dimension above. Each cell is its own entity within the second-dimensional universe of the body, each serving its function, its purpose, its essence.

The second dimension is, in this applied metaphysical framework, the dimension of fascia. Within the fascial matrix, consciousness flows along the electrodynamic differential of ionic current, as water carries salts and other ions through channels defined by collagen and elastin. Beneath the surface of the skin is the entirety of your body, and the substrate to which metaphysics can be applied is the electrodynamic one, i.e. fascia. The primary goal of applied metaphysics in the second dimension is to decrease resistance for conscious flow. Fascial resistance is a function of fascial tissue hydration and density. Dehydrated fascia lacks ions for the flow of Essential current; dense fascia lacks the channels through which this current flows.

third dimension

The third dimension is the psyche. The psyche is everything that exists between the surface of the skin and the stars — it is all of an individual's relationships, their work, the food they eat, the pets they have, and all things dead and alive. From a classical Jungian perspective, the third dimension includes everything within the Self: all conscious and unconscious material, collective or personal, integrated or waiting to be integrated.

Within an applied metaphysical framework, the third dimension of consciousness declares itself through projections. Projections are the fascia of the psyche — they are electrodynamic channels of libido (psychic energy) which create a charged web throughout the lived conscious experience (Ego). The integration of these projections expands psychic capacity. Projections are particularly strong as a tool for increasing intrinsic polarity — that is, projections are often strongest when placed upon people, places and things of the opposite sex. Yin projects yang, and yang projects yin. The primary goal of applied metaphysics in the third dimension is to become aware of and intentionally integrate these projections to increase intrinsic polarity (voltage) and therefore conscious flow.

fourth dimension

The fourth dimension is the cosmos. Imagine that on the exterior of the psychic field, of your experience right now, is a film over top of what we experience down here. That film is the reflection of the stars — the barrier between this physical world and that which is outside of it. The cosmos act in this way akin to the speed of light, in that they entrap us within a conscious bound here on planet Earth.

The applied metaphysics of the fourth dimension works with the astrological circuit. Astrology has at its core an electrodynamic signature by way of the connections between planets and their zodiacal rulership. The application of this metaphysics lies in using an individual's birth chart to read the conflicts present in their essence and how to alchemise them. When an individual knows the structure of their function as a conscious entity, they are then (and only then) able to work with it to better express their essence in its truest form. The goal of applied metaphysics in the fourth dimension is to use astrology as a diagram for how current flows in the native's life. What good is an electrodynamic system with less resistance (fascia) and more voltage (projection) if you don't know the path through which it's designed to flow?

how they relate

Each dimension emerges from its previous. The second dimension works in service to the third by allowing interaction with the psychic field and other beings (people, trees, animals, etc.) within it. The psyche works in service to the cosmos by experiencing the natural order of archetypal flow as delineated (not determined) by the planets' transits through the zodiac. And the cosmos work in service to the evolution of humanity as a whole beyond this 4D space-time system — but that's a topic for another essay.

The Dimensions of Consciousness operate as one monadic conscious dynamo. Working with any one dimension independently will induce a current in the others, necessarily. However, in order to obtain essential coherence, which is the goal of applied metaphysics (and life in general), each dimension must be worked as one unit. Consciousness must flow through the body's fascial systems uninhibited in order for the individual to walk through the psyche with the full capacity of experience. The psyche must know the patterns present in its daily life, its astrological patterns, in order to best operate in ways that will consciously support this essential expression. Each dimension connects to the next, concentrically. The first dimension is omitted from these applications because it is, by definition, already wholly expressed.

The dimensions of consciousness are, in totality, the experience of life itself. This framework follows from a monadic theory of reality as an electrodynamic structure. That is for another essay. But for now, these are the dimensions.
